Getting started with LootSlinger couldn't be easier. For information about using the site (inc. registration, buying and selling) please click the links below to get you on your way.

Registration
We want everyone who uses our site to be welcome and feel safe with their interactions. By registering on our site you have the ability to both buy and sell items and utilize our social networking features.
Registering takes moments and can be started by clicking here
You will need to enter your name, zip or postal code (depending on your country and region), your birthday (you need to be aged 18 or over to register on this site) and create a user name and password for yourself to access the site. That's it!
Once you completed this, you will receive a conformation e-mail from us that you will need to click from to verify your new account. Sometimes these can go to SPAM folders, so please make sure you check them too.

Selling
Please review our Terms of Use page (located here) which details any articles that are not permitted for sale on LootSlinger.
To get started with selling your loot you will need to go to the Sell page located here.
In order to get you on your way to selling as quickly and easily as possible, we have made this area very simple to use. If you are familiar with the auction process you will be able to navigate the page easily, however if you are new to this or would like to be sure about the page's content and features beforehand, please see below.
When listing your loot for sale, please read the Seller Tips below to help make your listings the best possible.
Auction Title
This is the information that will be shown on the search and browse pages on the LootSlinger site. You will want to be as direct and detailed with your title as possible.
Seller Tip: Be descriptive! For example, why list "new shoes" when you can list "New Red & White Nike Air Jordans, size 9"
Photos
By clicking into each of the photo boxes listed you can pull an image from your computer and attach it to your listing.
You have the ability to add 5 free photos to your listing. Please remember that they must each be under 1MB is size and you should take your photos in a landscape view as they will be presented on the site that way (if you take them in a portrait view they may be cropped.)
Seller Tip: Make sure your photos are clear, focused and framed to make them stand out.
Opening Bid
This is the starting amount for your auction and the lowest amount you are willing to accept for your item. Please remember that listing an item is a commitment to sell, so make sure you list it at an amount you are willing to part with it for.
Seller Tip: To make your auction as appealing as possible you want o make your opening bid amount the lowest possible.
Quickbuy Price
If you would like to offer your item for an instant sale, you can enter an amount here that will allow buyers to purchase it immediately and close the auction.
End Date
By clicking on the small calendar icon you can choose (up to 14 days from the date of listing) the date you want your auction to end.
Seller Tip: You want to give people a chance to see and consider your auction. Give as much time as possible to allow for this.
End Time
This drop down menu allows you to choose the time you want your listing to end.
Seller Tip: Choose and end time that is during the day, the way you can respond to any potential last minute questions quickly and still give time for more bidders.
The Description Box
This is a free-form text box to describe the item you are selling. In here you should detail the item as completely as possible. Considering the age, condition, use etc.
You should also use this field to detail how soon you are able to ship the item after the auction ends and what shipping company you will be using (you don't need to detail the types of shipping offered, those will be covered below.)
Seller Tip: It really pays to be as descriptive and detailed as possible, that way your buyers will be more informed about the item for sale and will more inclined to bid.
Item Condition
This drop down menu allows you to detail whether your item is new, used or refurbished.
Tags
You have the option to choose up to three tags to attach to your item. The tags allow buyers to search through the LootSlinger site and find items of interest. If you do not see a tag that you want to use you can create one.
Shipping Method
The option for this menu allows you to detail the speed in which your item will ship under. For example, if you will be using the USPS and their regular first clsas mail service, the shipping time would be 7-10 days. However, it you also want to offer the UPSP Priority Mail service then you would choose the 2-3 day option and list the applicable price for that.
Seller Tip: Buyers like to have different option when it comes to shipping. Try and offer as many as possible.
Payment Method
Currently LootSlinger is only using PayPal for auction payments. You will need a PayPal account to accept payments. You can set up an account for yourself very quickly by going to Paypal
Additional Information
If after posting your item you need to edit or cancel it, you can do that by accessing your listing on your Dashboard. Remember you cannot cancel an item once it is listed via this method. For problems you will need to contact us
Buying
To get started buying loot, you will need to register on the site. You do not have to register to browse and see items listed, but you will in order to purchase or bid on them. You can register here.
Please remember: Bidding on an item is a commitment to buy so you should be sure that you want the item, and can pay for it, before bidding.
Once you find an item that you wish to bid on, simply enter an amount equal or greater to the current auction bid amount and you're on your way!
Buyer Tip: If you have question about the item, write a post to the seller.

The Dashboard
Your have access to a personal dashboard that gives you instant access to important information related to your LootSlinger account.
The Dashboard contains the following information:
Your avatar - You initially get a small generic character but you can change that to a customizable one on your settings page.
Followers – other LootSlingers who are currently following you on the site and watching your auction
Following – other LootSlingers who you are following.
Tracking – current auction that you are tracking, but may not have bid on yet
Selling – items you currently have on LootSlinger and listed for sale
Sold – items you have sold on LootSlinger
Unsold – items that closed their auction period without selling
Bidding – items you are currently bidding on, but have not yet won
Bought – items you bid on and won
Tags
The Tags system is how LootSlinger makes it easy to find just the right items (if you are a buyer) or sell your items effectively with maximum exposure to buyers (if you are a seller.)
The tag system is integrated with the LootSlinger "interests" feature, so buyers do not have to search in multiple locations or categories at once. If you find a tag which best describes what category your item is in, you can find similar items wherever they have been placed.
